I offer a new approach to rider alignment, centering, grounding, and positive tension for improved performance in the saddle.

I am a certified personal trainer who focuses on conditioning the rider’s core for huge improvement in the saddle. My work is non-discipline specific and enhances rider’s abilities no matter their style of riding.

The best exercise for a rider is typically the one they are not doing. To be a solid, supreme athlete you need to cover all aspects of fitness. Each of these are important: stability/balance, suppleness, stamina, mental focus/discipline, coordination, aligned posture, functional movement pattern training, fascial balancing and lengthening, and body-mind awareness. My strategy is to identify a rider’s gaps (weak areas), and prioritize those. Continuing your same program will only produce wider gaps in your fitness profile, and your riding will reflect those imbalances.

Unmounted exercise is the best way to jump start your improvements in the saddle. It is very important to develop a sense of feel both in and out of the saddle. Your reflexes, postural muscles, and your sense of feel depend upon a full spectrum of internal and external input to function well. It is a smart option for riders! However it doesn’t need to be a program, and it doesn’t have to take up much time. I teach my busy riders to weave selected exercises based upon their weak areas into their daily activities. You can do these exercises while cooking, texting, walking to the car, or sorting laundry, etc. It has proven to be very effective!
